About our Charity

Over the years Women of the Year has proudly supported numerous charities across the UK. In October 2023, £13,000 was raised to support the incredible work undertaken by The Prince’s Trust: Women Supporting Women.

The Prince’s Trust Charity: The Prince’s Trust is a youth charity giving young people from 11-30 years old the confidence and skills they need to thrive in education, work and in life.

The Women Supporting Women initiative is a passionate group of supporters who are committed to changing the lives of young women helped across The Trust’s programmes. Some of these young women may have grown up in extremely challenging circumstances with issues ranging from abuse, addiction, bullying and homelessness.

These early life experiences can often have a detrimental effect on young women and their self-belief. The WSW initiative aims to help these young women succeed at school, secure jobs, create businesses and most of all, gain confidence to flourish in life.

NHS Charities Together – Registered Charity No. 1186569

The pressure on our National Health Service continues to be relentless and Women of the Year’s fundraising efforts in support of NHS Charities Together will help provide the extra support and services needed to care for staff, patients, and improve health in our communities.

Their national reach through a network of over 230 NHS charities covering the UK means that NHS Charities Together can ensure funds go quickly where they are needed most. They listen to teams on the ground and invest in projects that help the NHS go further than what would otherwise be possible through standard Government funding alone. From counselling and the creation of outdoor spaces to improve staff and patient wellbeing, to new technology and specialist equipment to enhance patient care, to training and equipping thousands of emergency response volunteers to help save lives in local communities and researching long-term health conditions  such as long-Covid and many other conditions.

As a membership organisation NHS Charities Together also lead nationwide fundraising and advocacy campaigns, specialist advice and guidance, conferences and training for NHS charities – because they know that together we can help the NHS be the best it can be.
