Sidney Causer is a dedicated young performer from Cheshire, England, with a heartfelt passion for musical theatre, acting, and singing.
Her journey on stage began in 2022 with Mid Cheshire Youth Theatre, where she played a Mersister in The Little Mermaid JR. Since then, Sidney has taken on a variety of roles, including Elsa in Frozen JR – a performance that earned her a NODA award nomination for Best Leading Female Character in a Youth Musical. She has also enjoyed playing Bet in Oliver, Margot in Legally Blonde JR, and most recently, singing in the Time to Shine musical showcase in February 2025.
One of Sidney’s standout moments came when she was invited to perform at the prestigious Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium in 2024. Sidney found the experience deeply inspiring and unforgettable. She is truly honoured to be invited back for the 2025 event, where she will once again share her voice – an opportunity she considers one of the proudest milestones in her performing journey so far.
In 2025, Sidney also became a proud member of The D-Day Juniors, a talented group of young performers committed to preserving the message of Remembrance. This year, they are supporting The D-Day Darlings on their VE Day 80th Anniversary Tour, performing at selected venues alongside the Darlings and special guests.
After being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2022, theatre became not only a creative outlet but a powerful source of confidence and connection. As a Youth Ambassador for BreakthroughT1D (JDRF), Sidney is passionate about raising awareness and empowering other young people living with the condition. She will also be taking part in One Walk in May, joining the wider T1D community to raise vital funds and support.
Sidney is equally passionate about giving back. She continues to perform as a singing princess, supporting children’s events and fundraisers, and is honoured to bring joy to young patients at the Starlight Children’s Ward Diabetes Christmas Parties at Wythenshawe Hospital.
