Zoe is the founder of Z.J.Glass, a contemporary glass artist with a passion for creating beautifully intricate pieces that invite a second glance.
She graduated from De Montfort University in 2022 with a degree in Design Crafts, specialising in Glass Blowing. It was during her first year that she discovered a deep love for the art form, quickly developing her skills and exploring the limitless possibilities of molten glass.
Zoe’s work is defined by her fascination with detail and her commitment to the theme of hidden beauty. Drawn to the delicate unpredictability of glass lace, she aims to create pieces that reveal more the longer you look – encouraging curiosity, wonder, and reflection.
After graduating, the path was not always straightforward, but Zoe gradually built meaningful connections within the glassblowing community and began producing blown pieces again. Her unique artistic voice soon began to gain recognition.
In 2024, Zoe was invited by the Women of the Year team to design and craft three bespoke awards for their prestigious event. The challenge was to create three individual pieces that reflected the uniqueness of the winners – Business Woman of the Year, Freeth’s Woman with Edge, and Woman of Achievement – while staying true to the spirit and strength of the WOTY brand.
That same year, Zoe attended her first Women of the Year Awards ceremony, where she was deeply moved by the stories of the inspiring women in the room. Seeing her awards presented on stage was a moment of immense pride and one she will never forget.
Now preparing to create the awards for the 2025 winners, Zoe is honoured to continue working alongside the Women of the Year team and is excited for what lies ahead as Z.J.Glass continues to grow.
