As a Chartered Forensic Practitioner (ChFP), Churchill Fellow, and Associate Professor, for 25 years, forensic science has been Leisa’s career and passion, aiding detection of homicides, sexually motivated, armed robberies, terrorism and cold cases. Liesa’s rounded kitchen knife research has been recognised around the world to reduce injuries (accidental, self-harm, violent altercations), prevent crime, and underpins the ‘Let’s Be Blunt’ campaign. As a UN Women UK member, she actively contributes to the National Knife Crime Working Group agenda, and is committed to eliminating VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) around the world, and championing women, everywhere, to achieve.
