At six, Laura Keir was already running little businesses. At 36 she was CMO. At 38 she was CEO and for the last decade she’s ran Protein Works, one of the UK’s fastest-growing lifestyle nutrition brands. A decade climbing through the company with a founder’s mentality earned her the top job. Following a 2019 management buyout backed by northern PE house, YFM, she drove relentless, profitable growth, culminating in June 2026 in the successful record sale of the business to Lactalis, the world’s largest dairy producer.
