We are excited to announce that British television actress, Sally Lindsay will be delivering the keynote address at this year’s Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards on 25th October.
Sally is currently filming the lead role of ‘June’ in COLD CALL, a new C5 drama thriller. Sally has appeared in numerous television shows including the BAFTA winning Murdered For Being Different, Still Open All Hours, Ordinary Lies and Moving On to name just a few. With her friend Suranne Jones, Sally created Scott and Bailey for Red Productions, in which she also starred. She also headed up seven series of Sky1’s Mount Pleasant.
Sally has also diversified into presenting and recently fronted the BBC Documentary Emmeline Pankhurst: The Making of a Manchester Militant and the C5 documentary Posh Hotels with Sally and Nigel. Last year we were delighted to have Sally present our special recognition award to the women of the Suffragette movement, handing the accolade over to Helen Pankhurst, great granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst.
Speaking about her involvement in the awards, Sally said: “I am delighted to be the keynote speaker at this year’s Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards. I find this event is consistently inspiring.
