2010 marked the 29th anniversary of the Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards, which was originally created by June Lawrie as a fundraising event for Vitalise (formerly Winged Fellowship Trust). Last year, we were delighted to raise over £7,000 in spite of one of the country's worst recesions - for Vitalise. Over the years, the event has grown dramatically and has raised an impressive £500,000.
Over the years, the winners of the prestigious and coveted Women of the Year Awards have included the Apprentice's Karren Brady, Katie Piper, Dragons Den's Hilary Devey, Hilary Lister and the 2012 paralympic hopeful Lucy Shuker.
